The library Provides circulation service to the IDSC members only. The library is keen to establish strong ties and cooperation agreements with some Egyptian libraries to provide circulation service between libraries.

The library provides photocopying free service to the IDSC members and outside users, and allow photocopying for all kinds of printed documents, according to the following conditions:

The documents should be part of the IDSC library holdings.
Photocopying should be used for scientific research and personal use only.
Photocopied pages should not exceed 30 pages at a time.

The library receives users inquiries, personally or through telephone, fax, E-mail or regular mail. The reply to queries is done by using the library or by databases search, CDs, Internet search, or by contacting organizations and local libraries.

The Library provides Internet search service to the IDSC members and the outside users free of charge, and allows the printing of search results up to a maximum of 30 papers, in accordance with the following conditions:

To be used for the purposes of scientific research only.

The duration of use does not exceed 30 minutes per user.

It is not allowed using e-mail or chat programs.

Electronic Library includes a set of CDs covering a variety of topics, about and the world in Arabic, English and French. These include issues of Economy and Development, Statistics and Census, trade, finance and employment.

Electronic library service is available through the Intranet of the IDSC and is updated periodically. It includes: Conferences - Periodicals - references and encyclopedias, atlases and manuscripts.
